A deep silence filled the room when the Dr. Vest ended his speech. The jury decided in a unanimous way to punish Leónidas Hornsby, and the phrase “The dog is man’s best friend” became popular forever.

The positive predisposition of young people toward animals generates positive virtues on young people that interact with animals.The same predisposition can be found on their interaction with plants. This is the reason why in the earlier stages of the development of children, adults should educate them in a way that they learn to appreciate every kind of life.

Kids tend to absorb and learn everything for adults, in educational institutions for instance, the teacher could develop school projects that involves some responsible interaction between kids and animals or plants. Class could have a little pet such as a hamster that can be fed and nursed by kids, so they can learn to take care of an animal in a responsible way.

A kid that learns how to take care of an animal and to treat it with love and patience acquires a great teaching, which further will be translated on positive social capacities. Pets can teach kids to understand the meaning of respect, love and take care of neighbors.

Considering that all the animals have rights. Considering that the lack of knowledge and the underestimation of these rights have taken the man to attack our natural environment and other animals. Considering that acknowledge of the right to existence that other living being species have is the foundation of the coexistence between species on the entire world.

Considering that genocides are perpetrated by the man and they are a threat for our future. Considering that the respect for animals is a binding to the respect for us.  Considering that the education should provide to every person during the childhood the observation, understanding, respect and affection for all the animals.

We proclaim the following

Article I

a.       All the animals are born in same conditions to life, and they all have the same rights to existence.

Article II

a.       Every animal has the right to be treated with respect.

b.      Man, somewhat is an animal species, cannot receive the attribution to exterminate other animals, or the attribution to exploit them by means of violating this right. Man has the duty to put his knowledge at the service of animals.

c.       All animals have the right to the attention, concern and protection provided by human beings.

Article III

a.       No animal will become the subject of abuse and cruel treatment

b.      If the decease of an animal is required, it has to be instantaneous, painless and it should not cause distress to the victim.

Article IV

a.       Every animal that belongs to a wild species has the right to live in freedom, in its own natural environment independently if the environment is terrestrial, aerial or aquatic. Also every wild animal has the right to reproduction.

b.      Every confinement regardless its objective, is a violation of this right.

Article V

a.       Every animal that belongs to a species that is always surrounding humans has the right to live and grow on the same rhythm, living conditions and freedom that is distinctive for its species.

b.      Every modification to these conditions inflicted by man is contrary to this right.

Article VI

a.       Every animal that is chosen by man as a companion has the right to have a life as long as its natural longevity.

b.      The abandonment of an animal is a cruel and degrading act.

Article VII

a.       Every animal has the right to a limited working time and a limited working intensity, to an appropriate feed and to have some rest.

Article VIII

a.       Experiments made with animals that involves the physical or psychological suffering is against any animal right nevertheless if they are medical, scientific, commercial or any kind of  experiments

b.      Alternative experimentation techniques should be used and developed.

Article IX

a.       If an animal is raised for feeding, it has to be well-nutritioned, established, and carried in a way that does not involve suffering for this animal.

Article X

a.       No animal should be exploited for human entertainment.

b.      Any spectacle or animal exhibition is against this right.

Article XI

a.       The unnecessary decease of an animal constitutes a crime against life.

Article XII

a.       Every act that implicates the death of many wild animals is known as genocide, in other words is a crime against the species.

b.      The contamination and destruction of natural environment are the producers of genocide.

Article XIII

a.       A deceased animal should be treated with respect.

b.      The violence scenes on which animals are victims should be prohibited on motion pictures and also on television, unless they are used as an example of the consequences of violence against animals.

Article XIV

a.       The organizations for protection and safeguard of animals should be represented at a governmental level.

b.       The animal rights should be defended by law in the same way as human rights are.
