Vaccines: When should I vaccinate my dog?
Animal Care December 20th, 2010The only effective way to prevent the appearing of dangerous diseases such as rabies, distemper and parvovirus is to vaccinate our pet. The vaccination stage for dogs starts at weaning time, when the puppy stops receiving the care from the mother.
In some other cases this stage starts when the puppy arrives to its new home. It is highly recommendable to apply the first vaccine, which is the triple, on its sixth lifetime week.
You should consult with the veterinarian regarding the calendar of vaccine, and keep a detailed control of the ones that it has already received.
Remember that our pest are our responsibility above all, we should guaranty their welfare for them and also for the community, if our dog is there to give us love and protection, the least we can do for them is provide them with a healthy life free from diseases.
Now it is very important to know that, if your pet has not received the very first of the vaccines, it should not leave the house, since is very vulnerable to infections and viruses.
